At CCM, we strive to develop close relationships with our patients. When you walk in the door, we want you to feel comfortable and at ease. We are proud of our knowledgeable and friendly staff members and would like for you to get to know more about them. Throughout the next several weeks, we'll be putting a spotlight on the incredible staff members that make up the Charm City Medicus Team!

This week, we'd like to introduce you to Rick G. As CCM's Lead Dispensary Agent, Rick's main goal is to ensure that every patient who visits the dispensary feels that their questions, concerns and feedback are heard. He also takes our motto of "Responsible Healing" seriously, making sure our team, products and dispensary are in compliance with Maryland's guidelines and regulations.

What do you like most about working at Charm City Medicus?
Honestly, getting to know our patients and making sure that they are cared for. I have always enjoyed working in front-facing positions that allow me to get to know my clients and guarantee they have a positive experience. At CCM, I am inspired by our patients on a daily basis and it only enhances my experience to know that the service I offer them is truly making a difference. It also doesn’t hurt that I’m supported by an amazing team of people who share the same passion and values that this industry calls for.

Why did you choose to work in the cannabis industry?
I was looking for a change of pace and environment in my career. The rapid growth of this service industry really excited me, and I’m thrilled to have gotten my foot in the door as things were really taking off.

Do you have a favorite strain that you've tried so far?
I tend to seek out well-balanced hybrids. But for me, it really depends on the relief I’m looking for. Of the strains I’ve had recently from our Maryland growers, Acupulco Gold is a standout “uplifting” strain; Painkiller XL for pain management; and for relaxation, Mag Landrace.

How about any fun facts or hidden talents?
Until I started working at CCM, my career had been exclusive to nonprofit cultural organizations in the Baltimore area.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of work on your much needed day off?
My favorite thing to do is spend time with the people I love, especially my incredible daughter. I spend a lot of time listening to music; I love a good documentary; I like to fish; and I’m a sucker for a crab feast on a Sunday afternoon.

And lastly, which strain do you think will win our March Reefer Madness Tournament?
If I were a betting man, I’d say Blue Cheese.
