Spotlight on CCM Staff: Leon

Our most popular blog series is back and this month, we're putting the spotlight on Leon, one of Charm City Medicus' Lead Dispensary Agents! Leon is one of the many friendly faces you'll see in the dispensing room at CCM sharing his recommendations for quality strains and products. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Leon at the dispensary, you can learn more about him (and his love for Indian food) below!

What do you like most about working at Charm City Medicus?
Being able to make a difference in patient's lives everyday, hearing the success stories and seeing the smiles of relief.

Why did you choose to work within the cannabis industry?
Since a young age, I've been very interested in cannabis and its amazing healing properties. It quickly turned into a passion and love for this gift from nature.

What are some of your favorite strains/products available at CCM?
When it's in stock, hands down — Jack Herer #8 by Verano. This blissful sativa-dominant hybrid has been one of my go-to strains for many years. I absolutely love the clear-headed functional relief this beauty provides.

Any fun facts or hidden talents you'd like to share?
My wife and I work together and just recently got married after our 10-year anniversary on our favorite holiday — 420!

What are your interests/hobbies outside of work?
I love spending time with my wife and family, and especially our dog Otis! We take lots of walks and trips to Cambridge, MD where we can chill and relax by the water.  Music production is one of my favorite hobbies. I've been very passionate about music for as long as I can remember. Always enjoy a good studio session!

If you could pick one food or meal to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sizzling Bombay's Aloo Gobi, spicy paratha and their sweet and sour soup. Hands down the best Indian food in Harford County. A must try if you're in the area.

Any big plans for the rest of the summer?
This summer has been all about working hard and saving up for our first house. But after a long days work, I definitely enjoy sitting back, medicating and just watching the lightning bugs fill the night.

Any advice for new patients or those new to medical cannabis?
Definitely do as much research regarding cannabis and your ailment(s) as possible. With the help of your Physician, and Dispensary Agent, you can really dial in on which strains and products will provide you with the most relief. Medical cannabis can be a bit overwhelming at first, but with the proper knowledge and guidance, it offers  a natural holistic approach to healthcare!
